I have been an orientation leader at my local high school for 4 years. Team building is one of my biggest strengths, as I believe that when a skit, play, film or even one act play are constructed, it takes an entire team. There is no “I” in Drama, and I want these students to know that. Working together is the most effective way to create a toxicity free environment and be welcoming to everyone involved. We all come from different backgrounds, and we must be welcoming towards each other in order to succeed.
I have been an orientation leader at my local high school for 4 years. I have helped plan different community events, recreational uses in public settings and have helped my Drama club craft shows and skits to raise money for different causes. I have also volunteered at certain programs that require team building skill sets and leadership abilities. Because of this, I have received a better understanding of how to properly communicate with a group and lead them to success. Your position is looking for someone with leadership experience and a positive outlook, and I believe that when you are leading or directing a play, you need to learn to have patience, while at the same time being assertive so that the work environment is healthy.
